Twelve years ago, Dao discovered lash extensions at a time when the industry in Winnipeg was virtually nonexistent. In 2024, that decade of work culminated in the opening of Lavilash Beauty Lounge on McPhillips Street in Winnipeg. Not a chair rental in someone else's salon. Not a room in her house. A full luxury studio with seven private treatment rooms, a team of trained artists, and a brand that reflects the standard of excellence Dao spent years perfecting.

But opening the studio wasn't the finish line — it was a new beginning. Dao realized that the most meaningful thing she could do with her 12 years of experience wasn't just to serve clients. It was to teach. To take everything she'd learned the hard way and give it to the next generation of lash artists so they could build their own careers faster, smarter, and with better support than she had.
